dc.description.abstractEste proyecto, es producto de la pasantía de investigación realizada en el área de Humanidades Digitales del Centro de Super Computación y Cálculo Científico de la Universidad Industrial de Santander. El mismo, pretende, a través del Estado del Arte como metodología de investigación documental, exponer el estado actual de las Humanidades Digitales en América; mediante la descripción del origen y desarrollo de este campo en el continente, profundizando en el periodo de tiempo comprendido desde el año 2000 hasta la actualidad y enfatizando en el papel de los procesos organizativos alrededor de las Humanidades Digitales como evidencia de la formalización e importancia creciente de este campo del saber en América, llamando la atención de manera especial en el caso local, donde el principal proceso es la Red Colombiana de Humanidades Digitales (RCHD). Así mismo, describe las concepciones y discusiones sobre la definición de las Humanidades Digitales y sus principales tendencias y productos en el continente, a la luz del análisis de algunos proyectos identificados en Sitios Web de procesos organizativos; Finalmente, pretende establecer y reflexionar sobre el potencial existente entre la relación Trabajo Social- Humanidades Digitales, donde el Big Data representa un horizonte de enormes posibilidades para la investigación e intervención profesional, en áreas como el diseño y ejecución de políticas públicas.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis project is the product of the research internship carried out in the Digital Humanities area of the Center for Super Computing and Scientific Calculation of the Industrial University of Santander. It intends, through the State of the Art as a documentary research methodology, to expose the current state of Digital Humanities in America; by describing the origin and development of this field on the continent, delving into the period of time from 2000 to the present and emphasizing the role of organizational processes around Digital Humanities as evidence of the formalization and growing importance of this field of knowledge in America, drawing special attention to the local case, where the main process is the Colombian Network of Digital Humanities (RCHD). Likewise, it describes the conceptions and discussions on the definition of Digital Humanities and their main trends and products in the continent, in the light of the analysis of some projects identified in Websites of organizational processes; Finally, it aims to establish and reflect on the potential existing between the Social WorkDigital Humanities relationship, where Big Data represents a horizon of enormous possibilities for research and professional intervention, in areas such as the design and execution of public politics
