dc.description.abstractLa violencia sexual constituye un grave problema de salud pública y de violación de derechos humanos, por lo cual se hace necesario implementar medidas direccionadas a su prevención, atención y erradicación. No obstante, para que dichas medidas sean efectivas se debe contar con datos y estadísticas desagregadas que den cuenta de la magnitud y de las características del mencionado fenómeno. Por lo anterior, la presente pasantía de investigación se propuso analizar desde una perspectiva de género la situación de violencia sexual en el departamento de Santander entre los años 2018 y 2021. Para tal fin, este estudio cuantitativo de alcance correlacional tuvo como fuente de información las bases de datos de exámenes medico legales por presunto delito sexual reportadas por el Instituto de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses e hizo uso del software IBM SPSS para el análisis de los datos. Los resultados de investigación señalan que, Santander hace parte de los cinco (5) departamentos que a nivel nacional registraron el mayor número de casos de presunto delito sexual durante el periodo de estudio. Así mismo, se encuentra que: las mujeres menores de 18 años constituyeron la mayoría de las víctimas tanto a nivel nacional como departamental, los hombres y familiares fueron con mayor frecuencia los presuntos agresores, la vivienda constituyó el escenario donde principalmente ocurrieron los hechos de violencia sexual y las medidas implementadas para la prevención de la COVID-19 influyeron en el descenso de las denuncias de este delito especialmente en Bucaramanga y su Área Metropolitana.
dc.description.abstractenglishSexual violence constitutes a serious public health problem and a violation of human rights, making it necessary to implement measures aimed at its prevention, attention and eradication. However, for such measures to be effective, disaggregated data and statistics must be available to show the magnitude and characteristics of this phenomenon. For the above, the present research internship proposed to analyze from a gender perspective the situation of sexual violence in the department of Santander between the years 2018 and 2021. To this end, this quantitative study of correlational scope had as a source of information the databases of medico legal examinations for alleged sexual crime reported by the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences and made use of IBM SPSS software for data analysis. The research results indicate that Santander is one of the five (5) departments that nationally registered the highest number of cases of alleged sexual crime during the study period. Likewise, it was found that: women under 18 years of age constituted the majority of victims at both the national and departmental levels, men and family members were more frequently the alleged aggressors, the home was the setting where sexual violence mainly occurred, and the measures implemented for the prevention of COVID-19 influenced the decrease in reports of this crime, especially in Bucaramanga and its Metropolitan Area.
