dc.description.abstractenglish | Within the framework of the project: Surveys of vegetation in the remnants of Andean forest, municipality of San Francisco (Cundinamarca), carried out by the Alexander von Humboldt Institute (IAvH), whose objective was to evaluate the state of conservation of the forests, they were able to identify highly connected forest routes from the National Natural Parks of Chingaza, Sumapaz, the Flora and Fauna Sanctuary of Iguaque and the integrated management districts (DMI) of: Cerro Juaica, El Chuscal, Río Subachoque and Pantano de Arce, which are directed towards the eastern sector of the municipality of San Francisco, belonging to the department of Cundinamarca. There, a connectivity corridor of 21 kilometers was identified from the southeast of the municipality to the northeast. In this corridor, three forest remnants were characterized with a sampling effort of 0.1 ha (10 transects of 50 x 2 m) for each location, where 972 individuals with DAP> 2.5 cm were surveyed. In total, 126 species distributed in 88 genera and 51 botanical families were identified. The families with more species were Melastomataceae with 12 species, Asteraceae and Lauraceae with 10 species each and Rubiaceae with 8 species. The most diverse genus was Miconia with 9 species followed by Weinmannia with 5 and Clusia with 4. The importance value index (IVI) was calculated in each of the census coverages. The indices of diversity and dominance were also estimated: Shannon-Wiener and Simpson. The vertical structure of each forest was graphed with its height classes and accumulation curves to determine the sampling effort registered in each locality, taking into account non-parametric ICE and Chao 2 indexes. Additionally, the similarity of San Francisco's forests was evaluated. and the Andean forests present in the Eastern Cordillera, reason why the need to conserve the forests arises, since they function as a corridor of connectivity.
