dc.description.abstractPor medio de este proyecto se desarrolla una metodología para llevar a cabo la actualización del inventario vial del departamento de Santander. Para ello, se inicia con unos conceptos básicos acerca del inventario vial, sus componentes y principales características. Posteriormente se identifica el tipo de información a actualizar y el procedimiento paso a paso para lograr tal objetivo. El procedimiento que se presenta se conforma de dos partes, un trabajo de campo y otro de oficina, en donde se recopila y procesa la información referente a los proyectos ejecutados en la fase I del plan vial departamental. El trabajo de campo se basa en la geo-referenciación de cada uno de los elementos que componen las diez vías intervenidas por este proyecto, mientras que el trabajo de oficina se realiza por medio de dos programas: GPS Pathfinder office y Arcgis 9.3, en donde se manipula toda la información espacial recolectada en campo. El resultado final es un sistema de información geográfica, con información actualizada de cada una de las vías inventariadas. Estas vías se ubican sobre un mapa digital, donde se puede acceder fácilmente a toda la información relacionada al estado estructural y de funcionamiento de cada una de estas vías, incluyendo las características físicas y geométricas de cada una de ellas
dc.description.abstractenglishBy this project it'll be developed a methodology to fulfill the Santander's state highway inventory actualization. In order to achieve this, it's necessary to review some key concepts regarding the main department highway inventory like it's components and main features, later on it'll be indentified the type of information to be updated and detail the best procedure to obtain it. This procedure basically consist on two phases, one is the countryside work and the other is the office work where the information concerning the projects developed within the first stage of the Santander's state highway master plan will be compiled and processed The countryside work is based on the geo-referentiation of every single element which is part of the main highway intervened by this project whilst the office work is labored by two software programs: GPS Pathfinder office and Arcgis 9.3 which both allows the manipulation of any kind of information obtained in countryside The end result is a geographic information system, providing update of each of the inventoried routes. These pathways are located on a digital map, where you can easily access all information related to structural and operational status of each of these pathways, including physical and geometrical characteristics of each one
