dc.description.abstractEl estudio investigativo se estableció como propósito “Determinar la existencia de intimidación escolar y sus características en un establecimiento educativo público rural del departamento de Santander” a través de un diseño no experimental, observacional de tipo descriptivo, considerando que el investigador no asigna la exposición, y el objetivo del estudio es describir la situación actual de la población en torno a una temática especifica: el acoso escolar. En contraste, este tipo de investigación se establece cuando los objetivos del estudio van dirigidos a comprender el comportamiento humano. La población participante fueron docentes, padres de familia y estudiantes de la sede A del Instituto San Isidro de Cachiri del municipio de Surata, Santander, de la cual se estableció una muestra de cincuenta y seis estudiantes de grados cuarto (4°) a undécimo (11°), cinco (5) docentes de la sede y veinte tres (23) padres de familia. El procedimiento ejecutado en la investigación con el fin de cumplir los objetivos propuestos incluyo la presentación al Consejo Directivo de la Institución educativa, consentimiento informado padres de familia y asentimiento por parte de los estudiantes, aplicación del Auto-test Cisneros de Acoso Escolar cuestionarios a estudiantes y cuestionarios a docentes y padres de familia, entrevistas individuales, organización de la información en base de datos en Excel, análisis de datos por medio de un procesamiento estadístico básico, tasando frecuencias de respuestas y porcentajes representados según las categorías de análisis determinadas en los instrumentos y como producto del proceso investigativo se elaboró el informe final en el que se incluyen los hallazgos, recomendaciones y conclusiones dadas desde el proceso investigativo y que propicien acciones institucionales significativas para la mitigación del fenómeno de acoso escolar. El estudio permitió demostrar que las frecuencias de acoso escolar en un establecimiento educativo rural de Santander se encuentran más bajas con relación a cifras de establecimientos educativos urbanos de la región y de otros departamentos. Se evidencia la presencia de violencia escolar en forma de intimidación, se da predominantemente en edades entre 12 y 15 años, presentándose de igual forma en niños y niñas de esta población. De acuerdo a los cuestionarios y encuestas aplicadas se puede concluir que en la institución educativa la intimidación escolar de tipo social es la de mayor incidencia en la dinámica escolar, incluyendo acciones de Desprecio – Ridiculización, Restricción- Comunicación, Exclusión y bloqueo social.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe research study was undertaken with the purpose of "Determining the existence of school bullying and its characteristics in a rural public educational institution in the department of Santander." The study utilized a non-experimental, observational, descriptive design, considering that the researcher does not manipulate the exposure, and the study's objective is to describe the current situation of the population regarding a specific theme: school bullying. In contrast, this type of research is employed when the study's objectives are aimed at understanding human behavior. The participant population included teachers, parents, and students from Branch A of the San Isidro de Cachiri Institute in the municipality of Surata, Santander. A sample of fifty-six students from fourth (4th) to eleventh (11th) grades, five (5) teachers from the branch, and twenty-three (23) parents was established. The research procedure to achieve the proposed objectives included presentation to the Board of Directors of the educational institution, informed consent from parents, and assent from students. It also involved administering the Cisneros School Bullying Self-Test, questionnaires to students, teachers, and parents, individual interviews, organization of data in an Excel database, data analysis through basic statistical processing, calculating response frequencies and percentages represented according to the categories determined in the instruments. As a result of the investigative process, the final report was developed, including findings, recommendations, and conclusions derived from the research process, aimed at promoting meaningful institutional actions to mitigate the phenomenon of school bullying. The study revealed that the frequencies of school bullying in a rural educational institution in Santander are lower in comparison to figures from urban educational institutions in the region and other departments. The presence of school violence in the form of intimidation is evident, predominantly occurring between the ages of 12 and 15, and manifesting similarly in boys and girls within this population. Based on the applied questionnaires and surveys, it can be concluded that social bullying is the most prevalent type of bullying in the school, including actions such as Disrespect - Ridicule, Communication Restriction, Exclusion, and Social Blocking.
