dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo corresponde al desarrollo de la práctica empresarial realizada en el Hospital Internacional de Colombia (HIC), enfocada en el monitoreo y control de las actividades de obra civil relacionadas con el mantenimiento y adecuación de la infraestructura hospitalaria. Estas labores tuvieron como finalidad prevenir y corregir diversas problemáticas constructivas o funcionales, con el propósito de mantener las instalaciones en condiciones óptimas que garanticen la prestación de un servicio humano, seguro y de alta calidad a los distintos pacientes que alberga el hospital en su amplia y moderna área asistencial. La práctica empresarial tuvo como propósito fundamental brindar un acompañamiento integral desde distintos enfoques técnicos y administrativos a las actividades que contribuyen a conservar el hospital en un correcto estado operativo. Esto incluyó el uso adecuado de los recursos económicos asignados para la adquisición de materiales, herramientas y servicios requeridos en los trabajos de obra civil. Asimismo, se realizó acompañamiento en campo al equipo de técnicos y auxiliares del área de ingeniería hospitalaria, quienes ejecutan las labores de mantenimiento y adecuación. Finalmente, se participó en la programación y coordinación de proyectos internos, garantizando que las intervenciones no afectaran el normal funcionamiento de los servicios clínicos ni comprometieran la atención y seguridad de los pacientes.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The present work corresponds to the development of the internship done at the International Hospital of Colombia (HIC), focused on the monitoring and control of civil works activities related to the maintenance and adaptation of the hospital infrastructure. These tasks aimed to prevent and correct various structural or functional issues, to maintain the facilities in optimal conditions that ensure the provision of humane, safe, and high-quality services to the different patients housed within the hospital’s broad and modern healthcare facilities. The main purpose of the internship was to provide comprehensive support from various technical and administrative perspectives to the activities that help to preserve the hospital in proper operational condition. This included the appropriate use of the financial resources allocated for the acquisition of materials, tools, and services required for civil works. Additionally, field support was provided to the team of technicians and assistants from the hospital engineering department, who carried out maintenance and adaptation tasks. Finally, participation was included in the scheduling and coordination of internal projects, ensuring that the interventions did not affect the normal operation of clinical services or compromise patient care and safety.
