dc.description.abstract	Esta investigación se orientó a analizar las concepciones que sobre la distribución normal tienen algunos profesores de matemáticas en formación. La metodología utilizada en este estudio fue la resolución de problemas. Para esto se realizaron dos cuestionarios en los que participaron catorce (14)estudiantes que estaban cursando la asignatura de Estadística IIofrecida por la Escuela de Matemáticas de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS). El primer cuestionario se aplicó luego de terminado el proceso de instrucción referente a la Distribución Normal y sus Propiedades, y se observó cierta dificultad en el momento de realizar el proceso de estandarización y de utilizar las propiedades de la normal (propiedad simétrica; Regla del 68-95-99,7) como estrategia en la resolución de los ítems propuestos. El segundo cuestionario se aplicó luego de terminado el tema referente al Teorema Central del Límite (TCL), en este estudio se destacó la dificultad para reconocer los tipos de problemas para los cuales el TCLes una herramienta de análisis. En algunos estudiantes persistió la idea de que este teorema es aplicable solo a distribuciones normales. Adicionalmente se observó que es importante poner especial atención a la simbología matemática usada por los docentes en formación, pues la distribución normal es un tema que requiere la combinación de muchos términos y nomenclatura matemática.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This investigation was oriented to analyze the conceptions about the normal distribution that have some Mathematics undergraduate students. The methodology used in this study was problem resolution. We implemented for the study two questionnaires with the participation of fourteen (14) students cursing the subject Statics II offered forthe Mathematics Department of Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) located at Bucaramanga, Colombia. The first questionnaire was applied just finish the Normal Distribution an its Properties lesson at the classroom, in this first experience was observed some difficulty at the moment of the standardization process and use of normal properties (Symmetry Property, Rule of 68-95-99.7) as solving strategy for the proposed items. The second questionnaire was applied after finish the Central Limit Theorem (CLT) lesson at the classroom, in this study was noted the difficulty to recognize the type of problems in what Central Limit Theorem (CLT) is used as analysis tool. Some students had the persistent idea that this theorem is only applicable to normal distributions. Additionally we observed that is important put special attention to the mathematic symbologyused for the students, since the normal distribution is a topic that requests the combination of a lot of mathematical terms and nomenclature.
