dc.description.abstract	Debido a la gran información manejada por los laboratorios de cromatografía y a la importancia que esta tiene para el manejo de sus procesos, se ha creado la necesidad de gestionar eficientemente la información usando medios digitales. El software LABCROM fue especialmente diseñado para gestionar la información del servicio de ensayo del Laboratorio de Cromatografía de la Universidad Industrial de Santander, dando solución a los problemas en el manejo de datos, agilizando los procesos y facilitando la elaboración de informes de la entidad. Para ello se utilizó una metodología de tipo evolutivo con la cual se llevó a cabo la planeación del proyecto, el análisis del sistema a través de encuestas, diagramas BPMN y entrevistas con los usuarios, el diseño de la Herramienta Software por medio de diagramas UML, su codificación en PHP5, implantación y pruebas. Se decidió usar la arquitectura SOA (Arquitectura Orientada a Servicios), que permitió mejoras en la toma de decisiones, incrementó la productividad de los empleados de la entidad, potenció la relación con los clientes y proveedores, entre otras cosas. Gracias a la implementación de LABCROM se logró reducir los tiempos hasta en un 90% en las labores correspondientes al servicio de ensayo del laboratorio, haciendo que la herramienta software mejorara el sistema de gestión de calidad y permitiendo el crecimiento económico de la entidad.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Due to the large information handled by chromatography labs and the importance of it for managing its processes, has created the need to efficiently manage information using digital media. LABCROM software was specially designed to manage information of experiment service of the Laboratorio de Cromatografía, of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, providing solutions to problems in data management, streamlining processes and facilitating reporting of the entity. To get that, it employed an evolutionary methodology which was carried out project planning, the system analysis through surveys, BPMN diagrams and interviews with the users, the software tool design through UML diagrams, codification in PHP5, implantation and testing. It was decided to use SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), which enabled improvements in the decision making, increased the productivity of employees of the organization, strengthening the relationship with customers and suppliers, between other things.
