dc.description.abstract	En este trabajo de investigación se presentan posibles soluciones a los asentamientos diferenciales presentados en una estructura de 5 niveles ubicada en la ciudad de Barrancabermeja a través de diagnósticos en campo y oficina. Se realiza un análisis visual de problemas y estudios topográficos en varias fechas donde se evalúan los ejes de asentamiento por medio de la medición de derivas presentadas en el edificio con respecto a la verticalidad de las esquinas y su desplazamiento en el tiempo, se efectúa además una excavación a nivel superficial para tomar muestras de suelo que posteriormente se someten a ensayos de laboratorio. Con el objetivo de establecer si es necesario intervenir las condiciones del suelo, se modelan las zapatas con las propiedades del suelo en software especializado para asentamientos y haciendo uso de los datos y características del suelo halladas en el laboratorio, se determinan los asentamientos presentados y la consolidación total que tendría la estructura con las cargas actuantes a la que es sometida y consecutivamente se toma la decisión de buscar una solución a los problemas presentados con base a las indicaciones de la NSR-10. Las soluciones presentadas son descritas y sustentadas numéricamente para ser aplicadas en el caso de estudio de manera funcional y que permitan controlar los asentamientos presentados.
dc.description.abstractenglish	This research presents possible solutions in the differential settlements presented in a structure of 5 levels located in the city of Barrancabermeja through diagnostics in the field and the office. A visual analysis of problems and topographic studies is carried out in several dates where the axes of settlement are evaluated by means of the measurement of drifts presented in the building with respect to the verticality of the corners and its displacement in the time, an excavation of a surface level is also carried out to take soil samples that are later assembled in laboratory tests. In order to establish whether it is necessary to intervene in soil conditions, model with the properties of the soil in specialized software for settlements and making use of the data and characteristics of the soil found in the laboratory, it is determined the settlements presented and the total consolidation that tend to the structure with the acting loads to which it is submitted and consecutively the decision is made to find a solution to the problems presented with the basis of the NSR-10 indications. The presented solutions are descriptions and numerical supports to be applied in the case of functional study and that allow controlling the presented settlements.
