dc.description.abstract	las cabras son animales de gran utilidad tanto a nivel económico como alimentario, su manejo adecuado puede aumentar el aprovechamiento, al ser animales versátiles y resistentes, la implementación de forrajes de alta calidad y su adecuado manejo son claves para mejorar tanto la calidad alimenticia de las cabras como la sostenibilidad y rentabilidad de la producción caprina frente a la creciente demanda del mercado. Por ello, el objetivo del presente trabajo fue evaluar el efecto de la fuente proteica (botón de oro, alfalfa y urea) en la alimentación de caprinos sobre los parámetros productivos, determinando la composición físico química de estas y su efecto en la ganancia de peso y conversión alimenticia, logrando obtener de esta manera un aproximado en la rentabilidad de los costos de producción. El estudio se llevó a cabo en la finca “Marujita” ubicada en la vereda Sagamal del municipio de San José de Miranda, departamento de Santander, durante los meses de septiembre y octubre del 2024. Se establecieron cultivos de alfalfa y Tithonia, los cuales fueron transformados en harina, para suministrarlo como complemento con un porcentaje del 5% de la dieta diaria, la muestra trabajada está conformada por 9 caprinos en edades de 4 a 12 meses, divididos en grupos de 3 animales por dieta, estuvieron sometidos a un periodo de acostumbramiento de 15 días, control sanitario y desparasitación; las dietas aplicadas fueron tres: la primera conformada por Tithonia diversifolia (30%), Mogolla (20%), Palmiste (50%), la segunda por Alfalfa (30%), Mogolla (20%), Palmiste (50%), y la tercera dieta conformada por Urea (2%), Mogolla (28%), Palmiste (70%), distribuidas en dos raciones diarias acordes al peso del animal. Los resultados se reflejaron en la ganancia de 3 a 4 kg en el lote 1, de 4 a 5 kg en el lote 2 y 3, en un periodo de dos meses, lo que nos indica una buena aceptación y efectividad.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Goats are very useful animals both economically and in terms of food, their proper management can increase utilization, as they are versatile and resistant animals, the implementation of high quality forages and their proper management are key to improving both the nutritional quality of goats and the sustainability and profitability of goat production in the face of growing market demand. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of the protein source (buttercup, alfalfa and urea) in goat feed on production parameters, determining the physical-chemical composition of these and their effect on weight gain and feed conversion, thus obtaining an approximate profitability of production costs. The study was carried out in the farm “Marujita” located in the Sagamal village of the municipality of San José de Miranda, department of Santander, during the months of September and October 2024. Crops of alfalfa and Tithonia were established, which were transformed into meal, to supply it as a supplement with a percentage of 5% of the daily diet, the sample worked is made up of 9 goats aged 4 to 12 months, divided into groups of 3 animals per diet, they were subjected to a period of 15 days of habituation, health control and deworming; the diets applied were three: The first consisted of Tithonia diversifolia (30%), Mogolla (20%), Palmiste (50%), the second consisted of Alfalfa (30%), Mogolla (20%), Palmiste (50%), and the third diet consisted of Urea (2%), Mogolla (28%), Palmiste (70%), distributed in two daily rations according to the weight of the animals. The results were reflected in the gain of 3 to 4 kg in lot 1, 4 to 5 kg in lot 2 and 3, in a period of two months, which indicates a good acceptance and effectiveness.
