dc.description.abstractReciclar los residuos sólidos que todavía conservan sus propiedades físicas o químicas útiles después de servir a su propósito original, y que por lo tanto, pueden ser reutilizados o convertidos en materia prima para la fabricación de nuevos productos, es sin duda la mejor opción que se tiene actualmente para disminuir el grave problema de disposición de residuos. La posibilidad de contar en Bucaramanga y su Area Metropolitana con una planta que permita la transformación y posterior aprovechamiento y/o reutilización de los residuos sólidos reciclables, permite alcanzar importantes beneficios como la generación de nuevas fuentes de empleo, mayores ingresos para las personas que viven del reciclaje, así como la protección del medio ambiente, entre otros. Estos beneficios se pueden alcanzar, en la medida en que se tengan disponibles los recursos y la tecnología necesaria para su correcta transformación y comercialización. El documento plantea inicialmente los conceptos básicos sobre reciclaje, la metodología empleada en el trabajo, para posteriormente profundizar en la situación actual del material reciclable recuperado en Bucaramanga, así como la identificación de alternativas y diseño básico de la planta. Igualmente, se presenta una evaluación económica y de mercado sobre la posible operación de la planta, así como factibles modelos administrativos de funcionamiento de la misma. De acuerdo a los resultados alcanzados, se puede asegurar que en Bucaramanga es perfectamente factible tanto técnica como económicamente el montaje de una planta transformadora de residuos sólidos reciclables.
dc.description.abstractenglishTo recycle the solid waste that still conserve their physical properties or chemical equipment after serving their original intention, and which therefore, they can be reused or turned raw material for the manufacture of new products, it is without a doubt the best option than must at the moment to diminish the serious problem of disposition of waste. The possibility of counting in Bucaramanga and its Metropolitan Area with a plant that allows to the transformation and later advantage and/or reusability of the recyclable solid waste, allows to reach important benefits like the generation of new sources of use, greater income for the people that live on the recycling, as well as the protection of the medio.ambiente, among others. These benefits can be reached, in the measurement in which the resources and the necessary technology for their correct transformation and commercialization are had available. The document raises initially the basic concepts on recycling, the methodology used in the work, later to deepen in the present situation of the recovered recyclable material in Bucaramanga, as well as the identification of alternatives and basic design of the plant. Also, one appears an economic evaluation and of market on the possible operation of the plant, as well as feasible administrative models of operation of the same one. According to the reached results, it is possible to be assured that in Bucaramanga is perfectly feasible as much technical as economically the assembly of a transforming plant of recyclable solid waste.
