dc.description.abstractHistóricamente la industria del gas natural licuado ha estado dominada por grandes inversiones y la necesidad de grandes reservas de gas que garanticen el retorno de la inversión en infraestructura de producción y distribución de gas natural licuado. En la actualidad, varios centros de investigación y desarrollo a nivel mundial como el instituto tecnológico de gas de Estados Unidos (GTI) y el centro de tecnología de gas de Noruega, han centrado todo su interés en el desarrollo de tecnologías que permitan el desarrollo de un proceso de licuefacción de gas natural que pueda ser implementado a pequeña escala en mercados de baja demanda. Este trabajo implicó un desarrollo conceptual de un sistema de distribución de GNL a pequeña escala. El reto de este desarrollo conceptual fue comparar financieramente el GNL frente a otras fuentes, principalmente el GLP distribuido en cilindros portatiles y el gas natural por gasoducto o licuado en Colombia. Esto se realizó con el fin de lograr que el gas natural este disponible en regiones distante de los gasoductos y con bajas demandas o la posibilidad de desarrollar mercados a fuentes no convencionales de gas como el gas de rellenos sanitarios, asociado a mantos de carbón o de campos lejanos del sistema nacional de transporte. Se documentó sobre la tecnología del Gas Natural Licuado Œ GNL, describiendo su evolución como parte fundamental de la cadena del gas natural a nivel mundial. Por lo tanto este trabajo presenta el estado del arte de los procesos para la licuefacción del gas y de las estructuras comerciales a través de los años hasta la actualidad en la cual se ha desarrollado nuevas aplicaciones para su distribución a pequeña escala. La estructuración y realización de este proyecto, le permitirá a entidades interesadas en el tema contar con una visión para analizar su factibilidad en Colombia.
dc.description.abstractenglishHystorically the liquefied natural gas indsutry has been dominated for high investment and the necessity of great gas reserves that achieve the development of the super size of infrastructure that is used in the production and distribuction of LNG. At present, many world technological research and development institutions how he Gas technology Institute of E.U (GTI) and the gas center of technology of Noruega have focused all the objectives in the process development that allow a gas liquefaction process for the small Œscale demand implementation. This work involve in a conceptual develpment of LNG small scale distribution system. The challenge of this was compare financially the LNG with other sources, mainly GLP and natural gas pipelines. This was accomplished with the purpose of get that natural gas available in low demand regions but near to gas sources non-conventional, how landfill gas, associated carbon gas or fields faraway of the national transport system. The study document about the Liquefied Natural Gas, describing his evolution how fundamental part into the world chain natural gas. Therefore this work show the art of state of the gas liquefaction process and the commercial structures throughoutthe years to present in which is developing a new approach for his distribution in small scale. The structuration and make up of this Project, allow to interested institutions in the topic in the near term, account with the vision for analize the viability in Colombia.
