To minimize this problem, alternative techniques such as photogrammetry and building information modeling (BIM) models can be used, which through the implementation of virtual platforms and the linking of a series of images optimize the quantity estimation processes, resulting in a systematization of information, where the different disciplines involved in the development of the project will have real-time access to the progress of the construction, identifying interferences and possible problems that may delay the fulfillment of the proposed objectives. In this article a solution is proposed by means of the approach of a methodology based on the extraction of quantities of work of some structural elements of the Building of Mechanical Engineering of the Industrial University of Santander, from photogrammetric techniques and its storage in the BIM model of the draft. To establish the feasibility of the proposed methodology, the quantities are compared with those coming from the design stage of the Revit models and those calculated in the traditional way.
