dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de grado tiene como propósito central la realización de las adaptaciones de cuatro piezas musicales emblemáticas de la literatura musical del compositor Santandereano Luis Antonio Calvo. En particular, nos enfocaremos en los Intermezzos No. 1, 2, 3 y 4, los cuales serán adaptados para ser interpretados por un trío poco convencional compuesto por violín, saxofón tenor y piano. Esta elección de instrumentación busca explorar texturas sonoras inusuales y diversificar los formatos de tríos tradicionales andinos, se opta por la combinación de tres instrumentos musicales de diferentes familias instrumentales. Asimismo, la propuesta para la realización de las adaptaciones se basa en aprovechar la riqueza sonora de cada instrumento, tanto en su rol como solista como en su rol acompañante. En consecuencia, cada obra será adaptada distribuyendo las voces solitas entre dos de los tres instrumentos, creando así un juego melódico y tímbrico. De igual forma, se busca promover la apreciación de la riqueza musical presente en la obra de Luis Antonio Calvo y su influencia en la música Andina Colombiana. A través del enriquecimiento del repertorio musical y la exploración de nuevas perspectivas en la música tradicional. Como resultado del presente trabajo, se podrá apreciar una puesta en escena del trío interpretando las adaptaciones realizadas, brindando a la audiencia una experiencia auditiva única e inolvidable. Finalmente, se incluye la compilación de partituras de las adaptaciones.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe main purpose of this thesis is to carry out adaptations of four emblematic musical pieces from the musical literature of the Santanderian composer Luis Antonio Calvo. In particular, we will focus on Intermezzos No. 1, 2, 3, and 4, which will be adapted to be performed by an unconventional trio composed of violin, tenor saxophone, and piano. This choice of instrumentation aims to explore unusual sound textures and diversify the formats of traditional Andean trios. The combination of three musical instruments from different instrumental families is chosen for this purpose. Furthermore, the proposal for the adaptations is based on harnessing the sonic richness of each instrument, both in its role as a soloist and as an accompanist. Consequently, each piece will be adapted by distributing the solo voices among two of the three instruments, creating a melodic and timbral interplay. Similarly, the goal is to promote an appreciation of the musical richness present in the work of Luis Antonio Calvo and its influence on Colombian Andean music. Through the enrichment of the musical repertoire and the exploration of new perspectives in traditional music. As a result of this work, a performance of the trio presenting the adaptations will be showcased, providing the audience with a unique and unforgettable auditory experience. Finally, a compilation of the sheet music for the adaptations is included.
