dc.description.abstractenglish | OR CONTENT In the study of the Electric Engineering and Electronic Engineering the understanding of key concepts such as; voltage and current becomes complex. This difficulty is presented because in the process of interiorization of these variables it is required for the learner to have a high capacity of abstraction. To decrease the difficulties of the learning process it is important for the student to have the necessary previous concepts to relate them with the new information before introducing any topic. On the side of educator, there should be a commitment of not limiting his work to the simple lecture but, rather be ingenious in the use of the diverse teaching and learning strategies. And the learner should show an open-to-change attitude since there is a continuous change and questioning in his/her theories and knowledge. The subject of Electric Circuits is the first contact that the student has with the topics of his major/program; for this reason it is indispensable for him to respond to the given challenges. There is a key question here: How can the educator obtain what he wants?. To be able to understand a possible solution for this question it is necessary to understand the sense of the university by analyze the aim of its functions mainly the one related with teaching. In the present text, an overview of the different learning possibilities is presented and a collaborative process is proposed as a strategy for applying it in the Course of Electric Circuits. This is also supported by the development of activities that demand a higher effort on individual work; so that, the learner can interact with his partners and with the educator in a constructive way and, in this way avoiding a passive position.
