dc.description.abstractEl texto presenta el informe de la investigación fiMotivaciones de Ingreso y Expectativas de Egreso de los Estudiantes de dos Centros Regionales de Educación Superior-CERES de Santanderfl que tiene como objetivo identificar las Motivaciones de Ingreso y las Expectativas de Egreso de los estudiantes de dichos centros. Inicialmente, se exponen los referentes teóricos generales relacionados con la motivación desde el ámbito del aprendizaje; desde esta perspectiva se analizan los conceptos de motivación intrínseca, extrínseca, de logro y de expectativas que se tendrán en cuenta en el momento de analizar la motivación de los estudiantes al elegir la carrera universitaria. También se revisa el concepto de percepciones, que está directamente relacionado con la conducta humana. El texto continúa con la metodología, que se ubica en el paradigma cualitativo y la estrategia utilizada son los grupos de discusión. La población está constituida por los estudiantes de las alianzas que dieron origen a los 17 CERES que existen actualmente en Santander, de los cuales se convocaron 14 grupos de trabajo con 115 estudiantes, del CERES de Bucaramanga, y 2 grupos con 12 estudiantes del CERES de Puente Sogamoso, corregimiento de Puerto Wilches. Con los grupos ya establecidos, en un primer momento se indagó sobre los principales motivos que llevaron a los estudiantes a vincularse a esta modalidad educativa. A continuación, se indagó sobre sus expectativas laborales y el concepto que tienen de los centros donde están estudiando. Finalmente, entre los principales hallazgos se tiene que los estudiantes tienen una concepción de calidad de la educación como la adecuación de recursos: infraestructura, instalaciones, entre otros. Otro aspecto encontrado, relacionado con la ampliación de cobertura es que se identificó que los CERES han incrementado la oferta educativa en las regiones apartadas del país convirtiéndose en la única alternativa para tener acceso a la educación superior.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe document shows the research report of the study fiEntry motivations and graduation expectations of students of the regional centers of higher education -CERES of Santanderfl, which intends to identify the entry motivations and graduation expectations of students of these colleges. First, in the theoretical framework, motivation is discussed from the learning perspective. The intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation concepts are also analyzed and goal achievement expectations as well. They are taken into account at the moment of analyzing students™ motivation when they choose a professional career. The perception concept is also revised, which is directly linked to the human behavior. Second, the discussion groups - as qualitative technical strategy of information recollection were utilized. The population was constituted by the students of the alliances that support to the seventeen CERES that currently are in Santander. Fourteen work groups with a hundred and fifteen students from Bucaramanga™s CERES were called, and two groups with twelve students from Puente Sogamoso™s CERES and Puerto Wilches. With the groups already established, at first, inquires were made about the main reasons which caused students to link themselves to this teaching method. Then, it was asked about their job prospects and the concepts they have from the places where they™re studying. Finally, among the main findings it was stated that students thought education quality as resources adaptation: infrastructure, installations, among others. Another aspect related to the expansion of coverage, identified that the CERES have increased the educational supply in remote areas of the country becoming the only alternative to access higher education.
