dc.description.abstractLa Cátedra de Paz es el camino viable para responder a las necesidades que tienen los estudiantes y maestros, el cambio que quieren lograr en la sociedad; ampliar los recursos para implementar la Cátedra de Paz es necesario para la institución, puesto que quisieran abordarla más con el fin de generar y promover la convivencia pacífica y resolución de conflictos entre ellos dentro y fuera de la institución. En este sentido, el presente trabajo investigativo surgió como una forma de identificar el ser y querer ser de la Cátedra de Paz según los maestros y estudiantes de la Institución Educativa José Prudencio Padilla, teniendo en cuenta que es una de las pocas instituciones que ya la está implementando en su currículo. La investigación tiene un enfoque cualitativo, con diseño etnográfico, el cual permitió caracterizar las concepciones que tienen los maestros y estudiantes sobre la Cátedra de Paz, así mismo, determinar las fortalezas y limitaciones de la institución frente a la implementación, igualmente surgieron propuestas por parte de ellos para poder mejorar y profundizar bien en el tema de la Cátedra en la institución. Los resultados de la investigación favorecieron la reflexión sobre el actuar de la Cátedra en la institución, valorando la disposición e importancia con la que los actores la toman, para responder a las necesidades formativas.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe Cathedra of Peace is the viable way to respond to the needs of students and teachers, the change they want to achieve in society; expand resources to implement the Cathedra of Peace is necessary for the institution, because they wanted to address it more to generate and promote peaceful coexistence and conflict resolution including inside and outside the institution. In this way, this research work emerged as a way of identifying being and wanting to be the Chair of Peace as teachers and students of Jose Prudencio Padilla School, considering it is one of the few institutions and it is implementing in its curriculum. The research has a qualitative approach, with an ethnographic design, which allowed to characterize the conceptions that teachers and students have about the Cathedra of Peace, as well as to determine the strengths and limitations of the institution in front of the implementation of them to be able to improve and deepen well in the subject of the Cathedra in the institution. The results of the research favored the reflection on the actions of the Chair in the institution, valuing the disposition and importance with which the actors take it, in order to respond to the training needs.
