dc.description.abstractEste trabajo tuvo como objetivo formular un Plan de Desarrollo Turístico para el municipio de Mongua, Boyacá, con base en un enfoque sostenible, participativo y alineado con las políticas nacionales, departamentales y municipales. Mongua, aunque posee un patrimonio natural y cultural invaluable incluyendo el páramo de Ocetá, lagunas de origen glaciar, y vestigios arqueológicos muiscas, ha enfrentado dificultades para consolidarse como destino turístico debido a la falta de planificación, infraestructura adecuada y estrategias de promoción. El proyecto se ejecutó en 4 fases: análisis de contexto y revisión documental, identificación y evaluación de recursos turísticos, formulación de lineamientos estratégicos, y diseño del plan con propuestas concretas. Se realizó un diagnóstico integral del territorio mediante análisis DOFA, trabajo de campo y participación de actores locales, que permitió identificar fortalezas como la biodiversidad y cultura ancestral, pero también debilidades como la baja apropiación del turismo por parte de la comunidad y la limitada infraestructura. Entre los productos resultantes están el inventario turístico del municipio, el diseño de productos experienciales y una estrategia de promoción y comercialización. Este plan busca fortalecer la economía local, generar empleo, proteger el medio ambiente y fomentar el sentido de pertenencia, posicionando a Mongua como un destino emergente, competitivo y en armonía con la vida.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis work aimed to formulate a Tourism Development Plan for the municipality of Mongua, Boyacá, based on a sustainable, participatory approach and aligned with national, departmental, and municipal policies. Mongua, although it possesses invaluable natural and cultural heritage including the Ocetá páramo, glacial-origin lagoons, and Muisca archaeological remains, has faced difficulties in consolidating itself as a tourist destination due to the lack of planning, adequate infrastructure, and promotional strategies. The project was carried out in 4 phases: context analysis and document review, identification and evaluation of tourism resources, formulation of strategic guidelines, and design of the plan with concrete proposals. A comprehensive diagnosis of the territory was conducted through a SWOT analysis, fieldwork, and participation of local stakeholders, which made it possible to identify strengths such as biodiversity and ancestral culture, but also weaknesses such as the low appropriation of tourism by the community and limited infrastructure. Among the resulting products are the tourism inventory of the municipality, the design of experiential products, and a promotion and marketing strategy. This plan seeks to strengthen the local economy, generate employment, protect the environment, and foster a sense of belonging, positioning Mongua as an emerging, competitive destination in harmony with life.
