dc.description.abstractEl objetivo de esta investigación es identificar los cursos tomados por los estudiantes de Licenciatura en Matemáticas que se relacionan e inciden en los resultados de las competencias evaluadas en las pruebas Saber Pro. Para responder al objetivo de esta investigación, primero se realizó un análisis descriptivo de los cursos tomados por los estudiantes durante el pre grado y de las competencias evaluadas por las pruebas Saber Pro. Posteriormente se realizó un análisis de la normalidad para cada una de las variables involucradas en el estudio, que llevó a determinar las variables que posiblemente mejor ajustan al modelo. Finalmente, se implementó un análisis de correlación canónica, que dio a conocer los grupos de variables que mejor se relacionan y las asociaciones existentes entre los cursos tomados por los estudiantes durante el pre grado y las competencias evaluadas en las pruebas Saber Pro. Los resultados de esta investigación, muestran que existen pocas relaciones entre los cursos que toman los estudiantes durante el pre grado y las competencias evaluadas en las pruebas Saber Pro, también ponen en evidencia la necesidad de pensar en otra clase de prueba para los egresados del programa de Licenciatura en Matemáticas que se relacióne más con los contenidos impartidos durante el programa.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe main objective of this research is to identify the courses taken by the students of the Mathematics Degree that are related and take part in the results of the skills evaluated in the Saber Pro Test. To achieve this objective, first it took place the descriptive analysis of the courses taken by the students during their undergraduate studies and the descriptive analysis of each of the skills evaluated by the Saber Pro Test. Secondly, a normality test was applied for each of the variables involved in the research, this led me to determine the variables that fit the best to the chosen model. Finally, a canonical correlation analysis was made, as a result, the groups of variables that are more related and the relations between the courses taken by the students of the Mathematics Undergraduate Program and the skills evaluated in the Saber Pro Test were discovered. The results of this research project show that there are few relations between the courses taken by the students during their undergraduate studies and the skills evaluated in the Saber Pro Test, therefore this research is an evidence of the need for a change in the test that the students of the Mathematics Undergraduate Program take, because it should be more related with the contents of the program.
