dc.description.abstractenglish | The virtual learning classroom (VLC) is a strategic tool for information management in teaching-learning processes. Its usefulness was notable during the contingency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic because it forced the implementation of a teaching strategy in a form of remote attendance that significantly affected the courses containing a practical or laboratory component. This work complements the experience of the Hydraulics laboratory at UIS through a virtual component developed on the Moodle platform that sought to centralize information and facilitate instructor-student interaction during previous and posterior stages of the execution of the laboratory sessions. Nine modules were developed corresponding to the nine laboratory practices that are typically performed in an academic semester of the Hydraulics course. Each module provides students with the information needed to develop the laboratory practice (reference information, practice guide and video description of the process), and enables the instructor and lab assistants to carry out prior knowledge assessment through a question bank, have access to templates that include the calculations to be developed by students, and carry out the evaluation of the reports developed by the laboratory groups based on an established rubric. This virtual platform of the Hydraulics laboratory will take advantage of the cooperative effort between teaching assistants and instructors of the subject to seek the continuous improvement of the material and evaluation resources proposed, providing future users with a reliable tool and more efficient and equitable rating methods.
