dc.description.abstractCon el propósito de dotar a la Biblioteca de la Universidad Industrial de Santander de un sistema Web que le permita ofrecer a sus usuarios y a toda la comunidad universitaria servicios en línea y consulta de información, surge el desarrollo de los Módulos de Información General, Recursos Electrónicos, Boletín Bibliográfico, Estadísticas y Reportes. Los cuales además de cumplir sus objetivos principales, constituyen una herramienta de apoyo en la gestión de procesos internos y toma decisiones administrativas para esta dependencia. Esta práctica empresarial se caracterizó por prestar especial atención a la implementación de rutinas de administración que hicieran del Sitio Web, un sistema cuyo mantenimiento se realizará de forma sencilla y eficiente. El esquema de seguridad de acceso al sistema se basa en el modelo de menús dinámicos y gestión de privilegios según roles de usuario. El diseño y desarrollo de esta aplicación se fundamentó en un modelo basado en componentes utilizando las mejores prácticas en ingeniería del software como la gestión de requerimientos y modelado visual con UML. El ejercicio de aplicación de estas técnicas en la elaboración del proyecto, garantizó la participación activa de los usuarios finales desde las etapas de análisis y diseño hasta la implementación e implantación de cada uno de los módulos. La aplicación se desarrolló en una plataforma Web, bajo los lineamientos de diseño del portal Web Institucional. El lenguaje utilizado para el desarrollo de esta aplicación fue JSP (Java Server Pages) y Java. El manejador de base de Datos, es el usado por todos los sistemas que maneja la Universidad: INFORMIX (bd: biblioteca). El resultado de este trabajo de grado se plasma en el sitio http://tangara.uis.edu.co/biblioweb.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn order to equip the Library of the Industrial University of Santander with a Web system that allows it to offer on line services and consultation of information to its users and all the university community, it arises the development of the Modules of General Information, Electronic Resources, Bibliographical Bulletin, Statistics and Reports. Which besides to fulfill their primary targets, constitute a tool of support in the management of internal processes and administrative decisions making for this dependency. This business practice was characterized for paying special attention to the development of administration routines that makes of the Web site, a system whose maintenance is simple and efficient. The scheme of security of access to the system is based on the model of dynamic menus and management of privileges according to user roles. The design and development of this application stand on a components based model having used the best practices in software engineering, like the requirements management and visual modeling with UML. The practical exercise of these techniques in the elaboration of the project, guaranteed the active participation of the end users from the stages of analysis and design to the implementation and implantation of each one of the modules. The application was developed in a Web platform, under the design lineaments of the Institutional Web Site. The language in which the application was implemented was JSP (Java Server Pages) and Java. The database driver is the one used by all the systems in the University: INFORMIX (bd: biblioteca). The result of this graduation work can be seen in the http://tangara.uis.edu.co/biblioweb site.
